Road Closures
The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department would like to inform you that Glenn Road is scheduled for road maintenance starting Tuesday, April 23, 2024. While the road will remain open to traffic, there may be periodic temporary closures to allow room for the large equipment to work adequately. The maintenance will affect Glenn Road from Highway HH and north approximately 1.5 miles to the west end of the bridge.
Safety is our #1 priority. We value our employees and you. Please watch for flaggers, work zone signs, and barricades. Please do not drive around the flaggers. Flaggers, signs, and barricades are there to provide safety of all the workers and to prevent damage to the construction site and/or your vehicle. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve your road.
The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department would like to inform you that the bridge on Boonville Road has been closed effective immediately. The bridge is located just west of the intersection of Boonville Road and Limestone Valley Road, approximately 1 mile west of Highway 135. We currently do not have an estimated project completion date. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department would like to inform you that the bridge on East Prairie Grove Road has been closed effective immediately for emergency maintenance. The bridge is located approximately 0.1 miles north of Sparks Road. We currently do not have an estimated project completion date. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

A qualified individual is one who:
1. Has the physical ability required to lift and to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
2. Can perform required duties in inclement weather conditions including ice, snow, and extreme cold or heat.
3. Has the interpersonal skills necessary to relate to colleagues and members of the public under conditions that may, on occasion, be adversarial or stressful.
4. Has vision and hearing, with or without corrective devices, considered within the normal range necessary to safely operate heavy equipment.
5. Has a valid Missouri operator’s or CDL license necessary to carry out the primary responsibilities for the position hired.
6. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
7. Can understand, interpret, and implement verbal and written instructions.
8. Must be able to perform daily routine physical activities without restrictions.
