PAYING COUNTY TAXES ONLINE


Pettis County has partnered with Devnet to provide our county residents a convenient, on-line method of paying your county real estate and personal property taxes. To pay your taxes please use the button below to be taken to our tax payment site, then select the type of taxes you would like to pay, click real estate or personal property, if you want to pay both select one of the two choices and find your account and add to your cart to pay and then go back and pick your other account or accounts and add them to the cart. Either enter your account number OR the name of the tax statement – no need to fill in addresses. The appropriate window will open and you can then begin your search. YOU CAN ALSO PRINT EXTRA COPIES OF YOUR TAX RECEIPTS FROM THIS SAME SITE. ENTER EITHER YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER OR YOUR NAME AS IT IS ON YOUR TAX STATEMENT.
Important Tax Note for On-line and Pay by Phone payments they are not processed on our system until our processing company has processed the payments from your accounts and they have cleared and been deposited into our bank account.
Therefore, a paid receipt will not be available for several days after you have completed the transaction. Paid receipts can be printed from the website as noted above, in about a week to 10 days – check your account to see if the payment has been posted to your account, if the payment has been posted, then print tax receipt. Allow approximately 10 days for e-checks to clear. We will mail a receipt when we receive notice from our bank that the payment has posted, please allow time for mailing of receipts.


Debit/Credit Cards:
The Pettis County Collector’s office provides taxpayers the option of paying taxes online in the office, or by phone.

Taxpayers can choose to pay their taxes online, by phone, or in the office with a debit/credit card or via electronic check (e-check), Credit cards accepted are Discover, American Express, MasterCard, and Visa.
A convenience fee with a minimum of $1.55 or 2.45% will apply to each transaction when using this service.
There is no charge to use an e-check for online payments or phone payments.
PLEASE ALLOW 7-10 DAYS AFTER TRACTIONS ARE COMPLETED TO RECEIVE YOUR RECEIPT IF PAYING ON-LINE.

The Pettis County Collector’s office does not retain any of the transaction fees charged by the online credit card processor. Before finalizing your transaction, you will be asked to agree to the fee amount added. You may exit the payment process at any time prior to finalizing the transaction.


Electronic Check:
Don’t have a credit card? You can still pay online using a valid checking account by clicking on the Pay Taxes now button. Our processing company will debit your checking account for the amount of your tax bill. At this time – November and December 2021, there is no convenience fee for using an electronic check (e-check) for your 2021 taxes It takes a minimum of 10 days for electronic check payment to clear the bank and paid receipt to be printed and mailed.

Pay by Phone – CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD PAYMENTS:
You can pay conveniently by phone using a credit card (convenience fees apply) or your valid checking account (no convenience fees) by calling 877-690-3729 – you will be asked to enter the jurisdiction code – enter 3526 and then it will say Pettis County, from there it will ask for your account or parcel number – which you will then enter – At this time you need to have your debit/credit card to enter the card number, expiration date and 3 digit code from your card. If you wish to pay more than one payment you will need to call the number noted above and complete the process again for each transaction.
You will receive your official tax payment receipt from the county collector’s office, the receipts will be mailed approximately 7-10 days from the date of the transaction. In each case you will receive a confirmation number after completing the on-line or pay by phone process. Please print or write down your confirmation number until you receive your official tax payment receipt in the mail. The report you receive when making the payment is not an official tax payment receipt – it only a transaction process report that only shows you have completed a payment transaction. If it is after the 15th of the month and you are needing a paid receipt to use for the renewal of a license with the MO Department of Revenue, we would recommend you come to the office and complete the transaction due to the time of the month and getting your paid receipt back to you by mail.

The functionality of the online payment process and payment by phone relies on several systems and electronic devices: therefore the availability of the payments systems cannot be guaranteed at all times. The Pettis County Collector’s office encourages taxpayers who wish to pay their taxes on-line or by phone to do so in a timely manner well before midnight December 31 or last day of any month. Any tax payment not receive by the due date will be subject to applicable late penalties and fees.
