About the Circuit Clerk’s Office
The circuit clerk is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate records of the court. These records include all Civil, Criminal, Probate, Domestic, and Juvenile cases filed in Pettis County. Some of the duties of the court clerk are:
Receive, process, and maintain the judgments, rulings, orders and all other proceedings of the court, both manually and electronically.
Collect and disburse all fines and costs.
Maintain the court case files in an accurate and complete manner.
Select and summon jurors.
Maintain the schedule of court trials and hearings.
Provide staff assistance to the judges to provide for the efficient operation of the court.

Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our criminal, traffic, probate and juvenile divisions are located on the first floor of the courthouse. The civil and domestic divisions are located on the third floor.
