Road Closures
The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department would like to inform you that Bluebird Hollow Road between Woodland Road and Farmers City Road will be closed to all traffic for low-water crossing repair from November 18th, 2024, through November 22nd, 2024.
Safety is our #1 priority. We value our employees and you. Please watch for work zone signs and barricades. Please do not drive around the barricades. Signs and barricades are there to provide safety of all the workers and to prevent damage to the construction site and/or your vehicle. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve your road.
The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department would like to inform you that Renken Road between Pacific School Road and Whiteman Road will be closed to all traffic for low-water crossing repair from November 12th, 2024, through November 18th, 2024

The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department will be working at Hedge Apple Drive between Dogwood Circle and Locust Lane on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 and Thursday, October 24, 2024. The road will be closed to all traffic from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm both days. Please plan your day accordingly. While the road will be open the evening of Wednesday October 23, there will be bumps at both ends of the section of road being repaired. Please use caution when navigating through the work zone.
We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we appreciate your patience as we work to improve the road.
Update:
Construction has started on the Boonville Road bridge. The intersection of Limestone Valley Road and Boonville Road has been closed until completion of bridge construction or further notice. Estimated completion date is beginning of the 2025 year.

The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department would like to inform you that the bridge on Boonville Road has been closed effective immediately. The bridge is located just west of the intersection of Boonville Road and Limestone Valley Road, approximately 1 mile west of Highway 135. We currently do not have an estimated project completion date. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department would like to inform you that the bridge on East Prairie Grove Road has been closed effective immediately for emergency maintenance. The bridge is located approximately 0.1 miles north of Sparks Road. We currently do not have an estimated project completion date. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

A qualified individual is one who:
1. Has the physical ability required to lift and to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
2. Can perform required duties in inclement weather conditions including ice, snow, and extreme cold or heat.
3. Has the interpersonal skills necessary to relate to colleagues and members of the public under conditions that may, on occasion, be adversarial or stressful.
4. Has vision and hearing, with or without corrective devices, considered within the normal range necessary to safely operate heavy equipment.
5. Has a valid Missouri operator’s or CDL license necessary to carry out the primary responsibilities for the position hired.
6. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
7. Can understand, interpret, and implement verbal and written instructions.
8. Must be able to perform daily routine physical activities without restrictions.
